Computer issues

Just wanting to let you know I haven't forgotten about you all. I'm having some massive computer issues. This thing reboots after 15 to 20 minutes and I'm getting hella error messages with boxes that say this and that has encountered a problem and needs to close. Then the whole thing shuts down and restarts on its own. I can't get anything done! Be back soon though, K...

I need to get a Mac!

  1. I hear ya. Say, have you considered linux? It's free to use. I use Ubuntu as my main os. www.ubuntu.com will get you there. You can even fix your machine from the cd. :)

Give that a shot before shelling out the big bucks for a Mac, not that there is anything wrong with them.

  2. I thought you were just busy with fireworks and barbeques. Sorry to hear it wasn't anything fun.

    Hope you're up again soon!

  4. Actually, no. I've got XP using a pentium 4 running at 3.4 GHz with a gig and a half of RAM. The computer is 3 years old and only just started all this mess towards the last few months. It will reboot itself continuously until it feels like stopping. The most its done is 17 successive reboots before windows opens up. I can even be in AOL and or IE and each will shut down without warning.

If I can find my XP disk, I think I'll back up all my stuff and reinstall it. I've moved around twice and now that disk is elusive. When I can replace this thing, I think I am dead set on a Mac, but for now, I just need to get the darn thing up and running!
